On Wednesday I’ll be at the Greene Space in NYC with Angélica Negrón, singer, accordionist, electronic musician.  Beautiful stuff!  Whimsical, sad, hopeful, delicate. I spent some time rehearsing in her Brooklyn studio this weekend, cooking up some of her songs with little toy bells, glass, accordion, voice, electronics.  She makes her own music boxes!  Seriously.  Right up my alley!  I’ll be playing glass on 2 of her songs on Weds as part of a larger show with a great sampling of other musicians.  

The Weds show is a lead-up to our group show for the Ecstatic Festival next week on Feb 7th,  with Sxip Shirey, Angélica, Todd Reynolds and others.  Feb 7th is going to be awesome because we’re all collaborating on each others’ stuff - a total play-date!  I’ve been rehearsing with all of them.  (Basically living on the BQE this month).

The Ecstatic Fest hosts many evenings of music, including one with Son Lux who I spent some of last summer touring with.
